Who is Alexis Warr?
Alexis Warr is an accomplished American dancer and choreographer, who will be featuring on Strictly 2025.
She has steadily gained recognition for her diverse skill set and impressive achievements.
Born and raised in Highland, Utah, the 25-year-old developed a passion for dance early in life, inspired by her sister’s musical theatre pursuits.
At the age of six, she began her dance training in ballet and jazz — laying a strong foundation for her career as a top dancer.
By the time she was 13, Alexis expanded her repertoire to include ballroom dancing, before adding styles including contemporary, hip hop and tap.
Her breakthrough came in 2022, when she won the seventeenth season of So You Think You Can Dance.
Alexis made history as both the first female Latin and ballroom dancer to be awarded the coveted title of America’s Favourite Dancer, as well as the $100,000 (£74,000) top prize.
Following this success, she joined Dancing with the Stars as a pro, while also participating in related tours.
Alexis appeared as a featured performer in two seasons of America’s Got Talent.
She also featured in season two of World of Dance — yet another reality dancing competition.
In 2025, Alexis joined Strictly UK, having “admired” the show for years.
