After a resounding bonus-point win over the All Blacks, the Springboks are well-placed to push for the Rugby Championship title, and as always there will be interest in who will referee their final two Tests against Argentina.
Although there was some criticism of referee Karl Dickson in the Springboks’ narrow loss to New Zealand at Eden Park, there was understandably no room for complaints with Nika Amashukeli after the latest 43-10 victory.
The Springboks now head into back-to-back Tests against the Pumas, at Kings Park in Durban, and then at a ‘neutral’ venue at Twickenham, which should actually favour South Africa considering they have often struggled in Argentina, while there should be plenty of support for them in London.
Next weekend’s Test in Durban will be refereed by experienced Australian Angus Gardner, while countryman Brett Cronan will be the TMO.
For the Test at Twickenham, Italian Andrea Piardi – who has been the referee in three consecutive URC Finals – will be the man with the whistle, and England’s Ian Tempest will be in the TMO box.

HOW DOES THE RUGBY CHAMPIONSHIP LOG LOOK?
Only two points separate all four teams on the log. The Wallabies lead the standings on 11 points, followed by the second-placed Springboks and third-placed All Blacks (both on 10 points), and Argentina (9 points). Australia and New Zealand play each other home and away on the same dates.
